compagno merlotThese smooth, medium bodied wines go with a wide variety of foods, like the wines my grandfather started selling in 1937. He pushed a two wheeled cart through his neighborhood, selling his homemade wine in gallon jugs. He was just 13, so the cart was probably bigger than he was!

Now, these traditionally styled varietals are available in a convenient 3 liter package that keeps the wine fresh for weeks after opening. The delicate flavors and smooth finish make them ideal food companions, so we named them Compagno, the Italian word for Companion.
