Barbera originated in Italy’s Piedmont District in the 13th century. Since the 1850’s, Barbera has thrived in Lodi’s cooler regions where fog and marine air from San Francisco Bay follows the Sacramento River into the Delta. This vintage exhibits ripe berry fruit with traces of cedar and spice and its especially enjoyable with Italian food.
